CNC router CAM features, without the clutter
Everything in RoutPath today: drawing and layout tools, 2D toolpaths, V-carving, 3D carving, feeds and speeds, 3D preview, simulation and G-code for GRBL and FluidNC.
Draw it right on the stock
Sketch with shapes, arcs and text with font choices, then refine anything with node editing. Toolpaths are overlaid on the design view so you can see exactly what will be cut.
Light and dark themes and full undo/redo keep long sessions comfortable.

Align, distribute and center in stock
The Arrange menu and toolbar line shapes up by their left, right, top or bottom edges or their centers, and space them out evenly by centers or with equal gaps.
Center shapes in the stock, or move them to a stock edge or corner. Align to the selection bounds, or to the first or last shape you selected.

Grid and circular arrays with a live preview
Repeat a shape in a grid of columns and rows, with a gap or spacing, an optional shift on every other row, and mirroring.
Or arrange copies around a circle: set the count, angle span, center and radius, and rotate each copy to match. You see the result on the stock before you create it.

Offset shapes outward, inward or both
Grow or shrink outlines by a set distance, in one direction or both, and pick the corner style. Keep the original shapes, or merge overlapping results into one outline.
A live preview shows the new outlines before they are created.

See the design in 3D before toolpaths
3D preview shows the stock with your vectors and 3D models, in 3D or from the top, so you can check the layout before you make any toolpaths.

Contour, pocket, V-carve, drill and engrave
The five toolpaths that cover most sign and woodshop work. Contour cuts inside, outside or on the line. V-carve gives crisp lettering with a V-bit.
Leave stock on a roughing pass and add an optional cleanup pass, including a tool change.
- Contour: inside, outside or on the line
- Pocket, drill and engrave
- V-carve software built in
- Stock to leave with optional cleanup pass

A tool library with feeds and speeds per material
Each tool carries speeds and feeds for softwood, hardwood, MDF/ply, acrylic, polycarbonate and aluminum. Recommended values are deliberately conservative.
Need something different for one job? Override the values per toolpath.

From STL, OBJ or a picture to a 3D relief
Import an STL or OBJ model, or create a relief from an image. RoutPath roughs in layers and finishes with a ball-nose bit.
A sample walnut rose plaque is included to try 3D carving straight away.

Smooth, real-time 3D cutting simulation
The simulation runs on your GPU, so even long 3D jobs play back smoothly. Watch the full job, change the playback speed, and inspect the finished part from any angle.

G-code for GRBL and FluidNC
Export G-code for GRBL and FluidNC machines, with proper tool changes between toolpaths. RoutPath is developed and tested on a hobby CNC router.

In your browser, always local
Approved beta testers use RoutPath in the browser at app.routpath.com. Nothing to install.
It still runs on your computer: nothing is uploaded, and your designs and files stay on your machine.
A Windows desktop app is coming soon.

RoutPath makes the G-code; your sender runs it
RoutPath is CAM software: it designs jobs and generates G-code for GRBL and FluidNC. It does not connect to, control or jog your machine, and it is not a G-code sender or machine controller.
When the G-code is ready, load the file into your own controller or sender software to run the job, for example gSender, UGS, Candle or the FluidNC web UI. Those are examples of common senders, not tested integrations or recommendations.
You stay in charge of machine setup, zeroing and safety.
Can RoutPath run my machine? No. Save the G-code from RoutPath and open it in your sender.
Windows app
RoutPath runs in the browser today. A Windows desktop app is coming soon; beta testers can say on the application form that they are interested.
